With over 20 years of experience empowering individuals, couples and families, Dr. Nicole McKinney aims

to inspire those she counsels. She is passionate about people and the restoration, maintenance,

progression of their relationships. Dr. McKinney helps people adjust to life changes including: academic, family or work-related stress; education, employment or military relocation; and loss. She specializes in

“before the ring” counseling, financial matters, grief and loss, interracial coupling, pregnancy care, and

racial identity of Biracials. She owns and operates a private practice where she also provides therapy. Dr.

McKinney is on faculty and the Director of a Couple and Family Therapy graduate program at a local

university. As a published researcher, Dr. McKinney presents scholarly research nationally and

internationally, and participates at invited speaking engagements. She offers clinical systemic supervision under AAMFT mentoring to therapists seeking licensure. Former experience includes the role as Program Manager for an NIH research trial where she helped African American families cope with parental cancer. At her home church, Dr. McKinney previously served on the prayer ministry and the youth department. She also has participated in missions work to third-world countries with the Pennsylvania COGIC Commonwealth Missions and is the Chaplin for Dayna’s iCare Foundation.
